BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! (or: Teabaggers, the problem that solves itself)

Just like this, only with redistricting.

Remember Michelle Bachman encouraging her fellow maniacs to refuse to fill out the Census because it would result in Japanese internment camps? Well, the teabaggers listened and haven't been filling out their Census forms, presumably afraid of ending up either in Japan or actually Japanese. Which turns out to be a case of a problem solving itself:

Some Republicans are worried that an anti-government surge among conservatives will lead to lower participation in the U.S. census, which they fear could reduce the number of Republican seats in Congress and state legislatures.

The census, which is currently being collated and is gathered every ten years, dictates the distribution of federal funding, how many House members each state gets and how congressional and legislative districts are drawn within states. [...]

The unstated concern [among Republican leaders]: An under-representation of conservatives could mean fewer Republicans in Congress and state legislatures for the next 10 years.

Oh, sweet, sweet irony, how I love thee. Bachman, Beck, et al. convinced their followers to not fill out the Census- and now they'll get even less of a chance at power because of that.

  1. Not only that, I got a job at the census because so many morons didn't fill out their forms. WOOT!

  2. My mom did that last time. She had a blast talking to prostitutes and drug dealers. (Who are surprisingly cool about filling out the long form.)

  4. Four duplicates of the same incomprehensible drive-by comment. After careful study of DM's, er, contribution, I have compiled the following translation: "I don't like you, but I have nothing useful to say." I hope that helps everyone understand what he/she is trying to communicate.

Comments are for you guys, not for me. Say what you will. Don't feel compelled to stay on topic, I enjoy it when comments enter Tangentville or veer off into Non Sequitur Town. Just keep it polite, okay?

I am attempting to use blogger's new comment spam feature. If you don't immediately see your comment, it is being held in spam, I will get it out next time I check the filter. Unless you are Dennis Markuze, in which case you're never seeing your comment.
