Oh, I Get It

racism, obama, birther, biden, citizenship, united states, president,
For a long time now, I've been wondering what exactly it is Birthers hope to gain. (In case you are not familiar with the term, Birthers are wingnuts absolutely convinced that Obama is not a natural born citizen. They hope to remove him from the presidency based on this "fact".)

For the sake of argument, suppose that (despite the claims being repeatedly debunked) Obama did turn out not to be a "natural born citizen" and was impeached or resigned. What happens next? It's not like McCain or Palin or Reagan's ghost become president, Joe Biden does. How would that be any better from the wingnut point of view? Joe Biden is, if anything, more liberal than Obama. He is however, an old white guy . . .

Oh, I get it.

Funny What You Learn When You Do Actual Research

muslim, uk, germany, citizenship, demographic, winter
We've heard it time and time again since 911: Muslims move into a country like the UK or Germany and never assimilate. They form their own little muslim communities which essentially become separate muslim countries within the host country.

That's not true.

A report by the Gallup and Coexist foundation found that Muslims are actually identify more with their adopted country than the other residents. They also have more confidence in the judicial system, financial institutions and the honesty of elections.

The report by Gallup and the Coexist Foundation says 77% of British Muslims identified with the UK, compared with 50% of the general public.

. . .

In Germany, 40% of Muslims identified with the country against 32% of the wider public.

Maybe the demographic winter won't be such a bad thing after all.

AOL polls are not scientific

and not proof of anything in particular.

I admit, I participate in AOL polls, and I enjoy looking at them. However, that does not make them scientific or useful.

Not sure what I'm talking about? Well, polls are affected by a number of factors, not the least of which is: who did you ask? For example, if you ask a group of christians, especially evangelical christians, should we say "merry christmas" or "happy holidays", you'll probably get nearly 100% voting for "merry christmas". If, on the other hand, you ask a group of atheists the same question, you'll get nearly 100% for "happy holidays".

AOL polls are skewed toward (a) people who visit AOL; (b) people who have an interest in participating in AOL polls; and (c) people who care about that particular poll's question. Hence, unscientific. You are only learning the opinions of people who fall into those 3 categories, which isn't representative of the US, or the world, as a whole.

I mention this because, WorldNetDaily is raucously celebrating the fact that a full 48 percent of nationwide respondents believe people should be concerned about Obama's citizenship. Mind you, there were 77,000 votes. The population of the US is approximately 300,000,000, as of July of 2007. So, 2.56% of the US voted, and less than half of them think this is an issue. 1.28%.

Yeah, that proves something.

It gets even better. WorldNetDaily, who runs approximately 6 articles a day on the Obama citizenship nonissue, ran it's own poll. Let's see here. Clearly, people who visit WorldNetDaily already think this is an issue. So, in our above example, this is like asking evangelical christians if we should wish people "merry christmas" or "happy holidays". Do you even need to ask?

Unsurprisingly, a full 98% of 4800 voters said that they are unsure if Obama is a citizen. 0.0016% of the population. Insignificant much?

The Story of the Century

I love it when, at the beginning of a year, decade or century, somebody declares something "the story of the year/decade/century." Every January, some schlockfest of a movie declares itself the "movie of the year." Yeah, it's January. There's been like one other movie. Calm down.

This leads us to Janet Porters latest foray into unreality, Make the media cover the story of the century. (Yeah, the picture is entirely random, I just like it.)

One of the most often asked questions regarding whether or not Barack Obama meets the constitutional requirements for the office of president is: "Why hasn't the 'mainstream' media covered this?" Good question. I bet that's not the most asked question. I bet the most asked question is "Are you fucking nuts?", or for the more polite "What is the matter with you?" or "Do you need your Thorazine refilled?" Those have to be the top 3 questions. "Why hasn't the 'mainstream' media covered this?" is probably the 53rd most asked question.

Also, why is "mainstream" in quotes? It's the mainstream media or it's not. Maybe I should send Ms. Porter to a grammar website.

Well, one thing we found out in the last election is there isn't anything "mainstream" about the "mainstream" media. There is no longer any doubt about their pro-Obama bias – even the Washington Post came out and admitted it.

All right, let's examine what "mainstream" means. The definition of "mainstream" is the principal or dominant course, tendency, or trend. Obama received 53% of the popular vote. Therefore, the principal or dominant court, tendency or trend was to support Obama. And, the Washington Post did not admit a pro-Obama bias- it's the word "bias" that's important in that sentence- they came out in support of a candidate. Newspapers do that all the time. It's not bias. And, had the Washington Post come out in support of McCain, you know Ms. Porter would not be all upset about it.

If it weren't for WorldNetDaily, a few radio talk shows and some blogs, we wouldn't even know about the constitutional crisis we're in. The job of the media is not to report every disproven conspiracry theory any idiot can come up with. It is to report actual, provable news. Look what happened to Rather. He did what Ms. Porter is doing- latching onto anything negative someone said about a politican he hated- and he got spanked for it. He got spanked because there was no proof and he didn't do enough research.

Interestingly, these are the first things on the chopping block in an unchecked Obama administration. Yes, yes, yes, Obama is going to remove the First Amendment. All by hisself. Even assuming Obama wanted to do that, he couldn't. The President cannot unilaterally change the Constitution. The Constitution can only be changed via an Amendment initiated by Congress or a state, which then has to be ratified (or voted for) by a certain number of states. So, even if the President did try to remove the First Amendment, a majority of USians would have to agree to it. File that under not very fucking likely.

Look, we're not asking for the world here. You don't have to be "asking for the world" to be making an unreasonable request. Neither is the Constitution. Sentence fragment. What isn't the Constitution doing? Do inanimate object actually "do" anything? Guess it depends on what your definition of "is" is. Some pretty basic requirements like being 35 years old, Please, please, please form a complete sentence. Please. having 14 years residency in the United States, and being a natural born citizen. The children of US citizens are US citizens no matter where they are born. Otherwise, the children of diplomats in other countries wouldn't be US citizens. You can see how awkward that would get. When Sen. John McCain was questioned about it, he showed his birth certificate without hesitating. When Barack Obama was asked by courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court, he ducked and hid behind the right to privacy. Even responding to this particular request is giving it a legitimacy it doesn't deserve.

Ironically, when Obama was running for the Illinois Senate, he won by disqualifying every candidate who ran against him in the primary, including a guy who had been through a nasty and salacious divorce. How is that irony? Irony is a technique of indicating, as through character or plot development, an intention or attitude opposite to that which is actually or ostensibly stated Even though he had a small child who could be hurt by the information being made public, a court decided that the public's "right to know" outweighed this poor fella's right to privacy, and he backed out. Obama clings to the "right to privacy" regarding his own qualifications, just not his opponents.

Here's the actual irony: McCain and Palin spent the campaign shouting the Obama (who also has young children) is a MUSLIM!TERRORIST!HE'sBLACK! and Ms. Porter is complaining that Obama questioned an opponents morals? Does Ms. Porter read anything she writes? Remember that old lady telling McCain she was afraid because Obama is an "Arab"? Remember the crowd at Palin's hate rally shouting n***er at a random black cameraman? I do.

The second most-asked question or the 67th most asked question about Obama's citizenship is: "Don't you think someone would have found out the answer to these questions before now?" Also an outstanding question. Is it that hard to write a complete sentence involving a subject and a verb? Phil Berg,

*we interrupt this post for a visit to a previous post*

In 2005 Philip Berg was fined and sanctioned $10,000 for having committed a "laundry list of unethical actions." "Other attorneys should look to Mr. Berg's actions as a blueprint for what not to do when attempting to effectively and honorably perform the duties of the legal profession," Joyner wrote."This court has grown weary of Mr. Berg's continuous and brazen disrespect toward this court and his own clients. Mr. Berg's actions ... are an enormous waste of judicial time and resources that this court cannot, in good conscience, allow to go unpunished." That's the man leading the charge against Obama.

*resume regularly scheduled blogging*

whose case is now before the U.S. Supreme Court, not only filed suit in August but also copied Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean on the matter before Obama was chosen as the nominee. I am a legal secretary, and I can tell you that as long as I have the filing fees and the time, I can file any lawsuit I want, against anyone I want, and copy anyone I want. I would have thought that something as important as whether a potential nominee is qualified to serve in office might be worth a question or two prior to the party's selection. Sure, if the information were true or relevant. But that information was ignored, and now they're just hoping it will all go away. I'm hoping Ms. Porter will go away. If wishes were dollars . . .

It won't. Not until Obama comes forward with the proof that the American people want and the Constitution demand. The Constitution demands, with an "s", the Constitution being a singular noun. Yeesh!

But what can an ordinary citizen do to defend the Constitution? Grab a katana? Instead of sitting on the sidelines wringing our hands, we can do something about it. Funny, that's not how I spend my time. If the "news" channels won't cover what may be the biggest story of our lifetime, I say, let's buy it. Ms. Porter wants to buy what? Our lifetime? The biggest story? When you use a pronoun such as "it", the pronoun refers to the last appropriate noun mentioned. In the case, "it" would refer either to "lifetime" or "story". Ms. Porter wants to buy a story? Hmmmm. Help put this television ad on the air – watch it at obamaforgery.com: Tell me what it's like, I don't get sound on my computer at work.

Heard the rumors about Barack Obama's citizenship? Sure, I chose not to believe what every nutbag in the religious rights says.
These are the facts: only if you define "facts" as "whatever I happen to say"
The Constitution requires the president to be a natural born citizen. true
Obama's grandmother said she there when Barack was born in Kenya. can we leave the woman alone? I can't find anything on this other than on wnd and related fundysites.
Obama refuses to release his original birth certificate. i wouldn't respond to this, either.
Instead of a birth certificate, Obama's campaign posted a certification given to those born abroad.
Experts have called even that document an "obvious forgery."
experts identified by username!
Obama attended school in Indonesia as Barry Soetoro, when only Indonesian citizens were permitted to attend. *sigh* Mr. Soetoro was a citizen, so his stepson was allowed to attend. We allow the same thing in the US. Also, I can call myself by any name I want, that doesn't make it my legal name.
Obama's school records list his father as Lolo Soetoro and Obama's citizenship as Indonesian. Indonesian school records now trump the Constitution? That's an unfortunate argument to make. What she's really getting at is that Obama is MUSLIM!TERRORIST!HE's BLACK!
Obama traveled to Pakistan in 1981 when it was illegal to enter as a U.S. citizen. US Citizens were never banned from entering Pakistan. What Ms. Porter is referring to is a "travel advisory". The US issues travel advisories based on current diplomatic relationships and recent violent events. Right now, it is legal to US citizens to travel to India. Given the recent tragedies in Mumbai, it is inadvisable.
Sixteen lawsuits in 12 states and two cases before the Supreme Court now challenge Obama's citizenship. Again, any idiot can file any lawsuit, regardless of merit.
Fact: Our Constitution still matters. That is a fact.
www.obamaforgery.com

Illuminati Pictures,
an extreme right wing video production company who produced the video of expert Ron Polarik, produced this ad that raises as many of the facts regarding Obama's citizenship as one can fit in 60 seconds. Let's let get a fucking thesaurus, bitch: allow. Let's allow. America hear them and add their voice VOICES to the 120,000 out of the almost 302,000,000 people in the US who signed the WND petition in the last few days.

Go to www. Faith2Action.org and watch the ad. Any Web donation to Faith2Action from now until Dec. 15 will go directly toward airtime to place this ad on television. How much is it going to take? Well, $12,000 buys a national 60-second ad on Fox News between 5 and 6 p.m. I say let's buy a few of those and publicize it so the rest of the world finally hears about the constitutional crisis we're in. Then, the Bill O'Reillys, Sean Hannitys and Rush Limbaughs may decide to cover the story of the century. Oh, now I understand the quotes around mainstream. She can't even get O'Reilly, Hannity and Limbaugh to cover this? Ms. Porter is full of fail.

Thanksgiving Shorts

blahblahblah Happy Thanksgiving! blahblahblah

That's about as holiday cheery as I get.

Just a couple of shorts as I sit here attempting to digest:

From WorldNetDaily, my favorite purveyor of christian persecution porn and antiobama porn, the title of an article: Kenya: I Don't Know if Obama Born in US: Ambassador suggests question be put to US government. Well, duh. Why don't we poll every country in the world and see how often we get that answer?

Then WND linked this article. They must not have read it. You can give it a try if you're not up on the whole Obama citizenship pseudo debate. (He's MUSLIM! TERRORIST! BLACK! Have you people noticed yet that HE's BLACK!)

Are you the antichrist if the prophecy isn't christian?

I should stop letting the general craziness of the fearful surprise me. Too many people, and I have no idea if this is limited to the US or not, are so afraid of the future that they latch right onto the most terrifying, horrible vision of the future they can find. (See: premillenial dispensationalism) So, rather than accept that Obama won, the Republiscum lost and the country won't be turned into a theocracy anytime soon, they are convinced Obama heralds THE END OF THE WORLD. (Imagine it in that booming, overpronounced movie preview voice.) Oh, and if you hold this particular world view, not burning the Constitution and turning the US into a theocracy is persecution of christians. We're so mean to them.

Enjoy my dissection of the latest Jack Kelley of RaptureReady fame article.

Two Non-Biblical Prophecies

The first one is very controversial and I offer no opinion as to its validity ummmm . . . really? You have no opinion on prophecies from nonchristians? You'd think the standard answer to that would be "If it's not what I think is in the bible, it's not true" or my reaction, "there's no such thing as prophecy", except that I've received it from several independent news sources. Just because several people repeated the same rumor/idea doesn't make it fact. If 3 different people tell me the earth is flat, I don't have to accept this as true.I have been able to confirm that Johanwa Owalo was who this prophecy says he was and that it apparently came from a document copyrighted in 1915. It's copyrighted, it must be true! Harry Potter is copyrighted, too. Should I be concerned about Voldemort? Readers are cautioned to conduct their own research before accepting it as authentic. That is not the accepted use of the word "research".

“Q. Is Barak Obama the “Son of Kenya” foretold by the great *giggles* 19th Century actually, since Owalo didn't convert until 1900, he would be a 20th Century blahblahblah. You always name the century by one more than the actual number. 18th Century poets are from the 1700's. Kenyan Prophet, Johanwa Owalo, the founder of Kenya’s Nomiya Luo Church?

It took a little doing, but I was able to find this:

In Kenya there are also several independent Christian churches that have broken ties with other Christian or Protestant denominations. The largest of these independent churches was the Nomiya Luo Church, whose founder, Johana Owalo, was an early convert to Christianity in 1900. In 1907 he had a vision in which he was taken up into heaven by the angel Gabriel. He saw that Europeans and Asians, and even the popes, were not allowed to enter heaven. Later, he converted to Islam and began to preach that mission churches were in opposition to traditional beliefs. His mix of Christian, Anglican, and traditional practices attracted many followers. In Kenya today there are still many mission churches. Many worldwide religious groups have a strong presence. The number of Kenyan clergy has grown in the past years and most of the Roman Catholic and Church Province of Kenya hierarchies are Kenyan

A. Among the Kenyan people of the Luo religion Owalo is believed to be a prophet similar to Jesus Christ and Muhammad, and who in 1912 made this horrific prophecy about the United States:

'So far have they [the United States] strayed into wickedness in those [future] times that their destruction has been sealed by my [father]. Their great cities will burn, their crops and cattle will suffer disease and death, their children will perish from diseases never seen upon this Earth, and I reveal to you the greatest [mystery] of all as I have been allowed to see that their [the United States] destruction will come about through the vengeful hands of one of our very own sons.'

So, some guy from Kenya, who converted from religion to religon and had a few visions, had something mean to say about the US, and we should be concerned about this why? I suppose Osama bin Laden is a prophet now, too? This is what happens when you get prophecy on the brain.

The next one comes from a Forbes.com it was Forbes, it must be true! article dated 10-26-08 by Amir Taheri, author of 10 books on Iran, the Middle East and Islam. He can write! It must be true!

“Q. Is Barack Obama the "promised warrior" coming to help the Hidden Imam of Shiite Muslims conquer the world? The "promised warrior" of the Shi'a is Christian? How awkward.

A. This question has made the rounds in Iran since last month, when a pro-government Web site published a Hadith (or tradition) from a Shiite text of the 17th century. or maybe the 18th The tradition comes from Bahar al-Anvar (meaning Oceans of Light) by Mullah Majlisi, a magnum opus in 132 volumes and the basis of modern Shiite Islam. Plagiarism alert! Kelley directly lifted this exact sentence from an article by Amir Taheri on November 3, 2008. Nice.

I tried to find translations of Bhara al-Anvar (I'm having a lot of trouble trying to teach myself Arabic.) and couldn't find anything. The prevailing wisdom in the muslim community is that if you want to be a muslim, you should learn Arabic. Reasonable, but frustrating for my immediate purposes.

According to the tradition, Imam Ali Ibn Abi-Talib (the prophet's cousin and son-in-law) prophesied that at the End of Times and just before the return of the Mahdi, the Ultimate Saviour, a "tall black man will assume the reins of government in the West." Even having not read the text, I can tell you two things: (1) blacks were not called "black" in the 1600's. I won't repeat what they were called, other than African. So, if the word "black" actually was used, there is undoubtedly some cultural significance to the time and place the Imam spoke from that is entirely different from the way we use that word today. (2) "government in the west" would not have been a reference to the US in the 1600's, mostly because the US did not become a country until 1776. The US did not become a world power until well after that. Yes, I know, prophets see the future, but they use the language of their day. "Government in the west" could have referred to the British Empire (huge in those days) or to some Middle Eastern country west of the Imam's location. Remember: Shi'a and Sunni rivalry has erupted into violence little short of genocide on numerous occasions. The Imam could well have been speaking of some Sunni rival.

Commanding "the strongest army on earth," the new ruler in the West will carry "a clear sign" from the third imam, whose name was Hussein Ibn Ali. Yes, Yes, Yes, Obama's middle name is "Hussein". It's one of the most common names in the world. Millions of men are named Hussein. There's nothing special about that outside of the US. The tradition concludes: "Shiites should have no doubt that he is with us."
In a curious coincidence Obama's first and second names--Barack Hussein--mean "the blessing of Hussein" in Arabic and Persian.
"Hussein" means "good" or "handsome one". So, if you're going to translate names, go all the way: Barack Hussein means: blessing of the handsome one. His family name, Obama, written in the Persian alphabet, reads O Ba Ma, which means "he is with us," the magic formula in Majlisi's tradition.” This is irrelevent and bizarre. My last name could be dissected to "will i am", but what the hell does that have to do with anything?

The above paragraph was plagiarized, as well.

From these secular sources actually, Muslim prophecy/tradition is not a secular source. It is a religious source. it appears that people from diverse backgrounds believe that a leader matching Mr. Obama's description could appear in the last days, and that his impact will not be good for America. Time will tell. Lots of crazy people have latched onto the first black US President as a bad thing. And?

The rest of the article is blahblahblah could be the antichrist blahblahblah fasten your seat belts blahblahblah

Janet Porter Continues to Amuse

First of all, the title of the article I am dissecting is "1 Last Chance to Fight for Our Constitution". What, "one" is just too long? Two more key strokes was just too much effort. Yeesh.

Former Deputy Attorney General Philip Berg

We're stopping right there. "Deputy Attorney General" seems very impressive, doesn't it? It's the preceding modifier that should grab your attention: "former". Would you like to know why he is a "former" Deputy Attorney General? Sure ya do!

In 2005 he was fined and sanctioned $10,000 for having committed a "laundry list of unethical actions." "Other attorneys should look to Mr. Berg's actions as a blueprint for what not to do when attempting to effectively and honorably perform the duties of the legal profession," Joyner wrote."This court has grown weary of Mr. Berg's continuous and brazen disrespect toward this court and his own clients. Mr. Berg's actions ... are an enormous waste of judicial time and resources that this court cannot, in good conscience, allow to go unpunished," Joyner wrote. So why is Ms. Porter continuing to worship at the alter of Berg?

continuing on

filed a lawsuit addressing the citizenship status of Barack Obama before the Democratic National Convention and copied Democratic Chairman Howard Dean. It should have alerted them that there was a possible problem before they selected their nominee. Actually, anyone with any sense would recognize that ANYONE can file a lawsuit for any reason, or no good reason at all, if they can pay the filing fees. I can sue God if I want to. Simply filing a lawsuit doesn't prove a thing. But that problem was ignored. Other lawsuits filed before Nov. 4 were also ignored, placing us in what could be a constitutional crisis. Actually, even if Obama were not a US citizen, and still became President, it wouldn't create a constitutional crisis. It would create a presidential crisis, but that's not the same thing. The good news is the real election hasn't taken place yet. The Electoral College doesn't meet until Dec. 15. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Technically true, but not the entire truth. The Electoral College is not allowed to vote any damn way they please. They must vote the will of the people. (Don't ask me why we can't just vote directly.) That gives us (please stop including me in blanket, baseless statements.) less than a month to find the answers to the looming questions (they're big and shadowy and BLACK!) regarding whether Barack Obama meets the constitutional requirements for the office of president.

The courts don't seem to be in any hurry to take up their responsibility as guardians of the Constitution probably because, as you can see above, or right here, the Courts know all about Philip Berg, Esquire, and have way too much actual work to do to waste time on his baseless, attention-seeking lawsuit, so now Congress must step in. Sure, because that's what Congress is for, to reject legally elected Presidents. You see, members of Congress are sworn to uphold the Constitution, and when they vote in January to confirm (or reject) the vote of the Electoral College, they can't very well do that unless they know for certain that the basic constitutional requirements for office have been met. Ya know, 'cause nobody ever vets candidates before the election.

An ad running this week in the Washington Times Weekly asks three questions America needs to know: "Was Barack Obama really born in Kenya?" "Is he really a citizen of Indonesia?" And, "Does the Constitution still matter?" I have noted previously that Ms. Porter seems to believe that any claim, no matter how unfounded or ridiculous, that appears in any sort of media, instantly becomes relevant and factual. Apparently, if I take out an ad in my local newspaper claiming that the earth is flat, that becomes a fact that should be printed in textbooks. Silly scientists! Why do all that research and stuff when all you have to do is appear on talk radio to make your theories become facts?

Thirdly, there's no original birth certificate – just a "certification of live birth" posted on a website experts say is forged and altered. Those "experts" are identified in the lawsuit by screen names. Yes, screen names. One of those names is "TechDude". I'm not kidding. (I have to wonder if Ms. Porter does even the most basic research.) I am a legal secretary. I type up legal documents from the notes that the attorneys provide all the time. If I identified an expert, or anyone at all, by their screen name, I would be fired. Immediately.

As the ad proclaims, "The Constitution matters" and is still worth defending. Not arguing there. Though I didn't learn that from an ad in a weekly paper. All we (stop including me) are asking is that Congress takes their oath to defend it seriously. If Obama can prove he meets the basic but essential constitutional requirements, fine, he'll serve legally. But if he cannot provide simple proof, then he cannot. We're not asking for the world here, just the original birth certificate that each of us delivers when getting a passport, driver's license or Social Security card. Interesting fact: I got my driver's license without an original birth certificate. We moved around a lot, and at some point it was lost. This insistence on the original is a little odd. I didn't need an original. If we can't tell the clerk at the post office to check out the digital photo of a certificate posted online, neither should the guy running for president. Obama never asked anyone to check out something posted online. Obama has never responded to this lawsuit at all, and the Court has not seen fit to make him. Your confusing Obama with Obama supporters. Members of Congress: If you have taken an oath to defend the Constitution, now's the time to keep it. Yeah, let the Court do its job. The executive and judicial branches are separate for a reason.

But I know the reasons for your hesitancy. I've faced them myself no, Ms. Porter, you haven't. You aren't a member of Congress, and you have swallowed this attention-seeking nonsense of Berg's hook, line, sinker and entire boat without question or research. You believe this because you want to, because your side lost and you can't stand that the majority of USians don't agree with you. and have come to the conclusion that if one of our founders, Patrick Henry, could proclaim, "Give me liberty or give me death," we can face our fears and stand for the document they penned that outlines our God-given rights to freedom. What the hell does Patrick Henry's quote have to do with this? Anyone? What if we asked our Founding Fathers, many of whom lost everything in the battle for our nation, if they think the Constitution is still worth defending? They already answered that question with their lives. Why the constant "death" stuff here? Is someone threatening Congress or the Courts with death? Is she dog whistling here? Maybe she is suggesting that the inevitable demonstrations and possible riots that would result if Congress invalidated the election and put McCain in the White House are acceptable results here. I can't tell.

Here is why she thinks people aren't behind this lawsuit and attempt to steal the Presidency from Obama (the thought that Obama won, fair and square, doesn't appear to have occurred to her):

"I better not be public on this because I'll become a target." News flash: If you believe in life, liberty and the family, you already are a target. The henchmen are selected; the gallows for our freedoms are already being built. Again with the death stuff. Ow! I think I heard the dog whistle. Follow me a little further down and I'll explain it to you. And the only candidate in history to never move an inch to the center during the campaign Oh yeah, Marx had nothing on Obama. I have friends in Europe who find the socialism accusation hysterical, because to them, Obama is right of center. has no intentions of changing his agenda of outlawing our viewpoint with the "unfairness doctrine," she made that up "thought crimes," this is a reference to hate crime laws. Janet Porter apparently thinks hate crimes are ok. "The Employment Non Discrimination Act" being a woman, I'm all about Employment Non Discrimination. Who the hell is for discrimination? Oh . . . the repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act Obama never said he would repeal this heinous bit of legislation. In fact, Biden said that while gays should be allowed civil unions, they should not be allowed marriages. Bad Biden! and all the rest what is the rest?. As I wrote about in my book, "The Criminalization of Christianity" (which will surely come true if we don't act now here's the dog whistle. see, Fundamentalist Christians love the idea of martyrdom (though I guarantee they wouldn't like the reality) but there is no martyring of Christians in this country. Christians are as free to be Christians as Jews are free to be Jews, Atheists are free to be Atheists-- and that's the problem. Fundamentalist Christians don't just want to be free to believe what they wish, they want to be free from ever seeing or interacting with others who believe something else. This criminalization she refers to is not being able to force me to convert. There's the dog whistle.), "Never fail to do the right thing for fear that the opposition will attack you in response. The other side can and will attack you anyway, at a time of their own choosing rather than yours, regardless of whether you act." If you attack for no good reason, on the other hand, you have made your position undefensible and thrown your morals in the toilet. (See: the Iraq war)

"We'll just beat him in four years." That's how the US works. Don't like what's going on now? Wait a little while. It'll change. In four years, we won't be able to recognize what's left of our country. Does she get how the US works? Does she even live here? And if you think taking on this issue right now is hard, try doing it when our radio airwaves are shut down and our freedoms are stripped from us, as he has promised to do. When? When did Obama threaten to defeat the laws of physics and destroy radio communication. If he can do that, he should be president for life. And with Obama's promise to pass the so-called Freedom of Choice Act as "the first thing" he does, you can say goodbye to the notion of protecting unborn children again – and goodbye to every law in all 50 states that notifies parents, keeps our tax dollars from footing the abortion bill and prevents even a single partial-birth abortion. Yeah, Janet, we'll break into your house and impregnate you against your will just so we can force you to have an abortion. That's how liberals roll!

"They'll say I'm a 'racist' and call it 'sour grapes.'" Yeah, that's pretty much how I see it. Our Founding Fathers faced death dog whistle, we face name-calling. Right now our U.S. soldiers are being shot at for the freedoms guaranteed in our Constitution. Not really. I love our armed forces, but I fail to see how killing people in Iraq is keeping me free here. If the Constitution isn't worth undergoing some name calling, then the oath taken to defend it means nothing. You wusses!

"Somebody else will do it." They haven't. And time is running out. There might be a reason why.

This isn't my responsibility." The lower court in Philadelphia threw out Phil Berg's case (which is now before the U.S. Supreme Court) based not on the merits, but on the issue of "standing," she makes this sound like some silly technicality. Standing is very important. Standing is a merit of a case, because standing is whether or not you are the correct party to file a lawsuit. For example, you stop paying your mortgage, which you have with First Bank. First Bank has standing to file suit against you. Second Bank does not. and pointed to the need for Congress to act. If the questions of constitutionality are not met before Congress is called upon to uphold the vote of the Electoral College, they cannot fulfill their oath and duty to uphold and defend the Constitution. If we are willing to ignore the constitutional requirements for the highest office in our land, what else are we willing to forgo? That part about free speech? Freedom of the press? Freedom of religion? The infamous slippery slope. "If we allow a rape victim to have an abortion, everyone will be forced to abort every baby!"

"We deserve what we got." What? How about, "Obama is our rightfully elected President"?That's true, so did the people of Nineveh random religious story to no apparent purpose who asked, "Who can tell if God will turn and relent, and turn away from His fierce anger, so that we may not perish?" If you're unfamiliar with the story recorded in Jonah, God didn't give the Ninevites what they deserved; and even though the judgment was pronounced against them, when they fasted, prayed, sought God and turned from their wicked ways, God had mercy and spared them from judgment. Then the Ninevites were the only people in the OT who were spared. God was very into genocide and baby killing back then.

"It's impossible." With God, all things are possible. Sure, Janet, I'm gonna flap my arms and fly away. Eight years ago the election was called for Al Gore by the media, and he never took office. If God is the same today as He was yesterday, He can still split the sea, raise the dead, stop the sun and reverse the results of the popular vote if the basic requirements of the Constitution are not met in the candidate. I'm not sure what's more appalling here, her understanding of theology, or her understanding of the democratic process. When Obama takes office, will she admit that God hates her?

Janet, I expect a press release in January about how God hates you, you were wrong and you will never speak or type again.
