Islam Doesn't Hold the Patent on Crazy

jewish, judaism, murder, israel,
Unless you consider killing nonJewish babies normal behavior.

Just weeks after the arrest of alleged Jewish terrorist, Yaakov Teitel, a West Bank rabbi on Monday released a book giving Jews permission to kill Gentiles who threaten Israel.

Rabbi Yitzhak Shapiro, who heads the Od Yosef Chai Yeshiva in the Yitzhar settlement, wrote in his book “The King’s Torah” that even babies and children can be killed if they pose a threat to the nation.

Shapiro based the majority of his teachings on passages quoted from the Bible, to which he adds his opinions and beliefs.

“It is permissable to kill the Righteous among Nations even if they are not responsible for the threatening situation,” he wrote, adding: “If we kill a Gentile who has sinned or has violated one of the seven commandments - because we care about the commandments - there is nothing wrong with the murder.”

Several prominent rabbis, including Rabbi Yithak Ginzburg and Rabbi Yaakov Yosef, have recommended the book to their students and followers.

That's not going to end well.

40 Days

iran, neda, revolution, murder,
Although Michael Jackson's death wiped it right out of the media, unrest and rebellion continues in Iran. Today, 40 days* after the infamous murder of Neda, protests have begun anew at a graveside memorial for her.

Iranian police fired tear gas and beat anti-government protesters with batons to disperse thousands at a graveside memorial Thursday for victims of post-election violence, witnesses and state television said.

Demonstrations that drew thousands more later spread to other parts of the capital Tehran and more clashes with security forces erupted. Witnesses said police fired tear gas at dozens of demonstrators on Valiasr Street who set tires and trash cans ablaze in response.

. . .

Neda is alive, Ahmadinejad is dead," some of those at the ceremony chanted, referring to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who the opposition claims won the June 12 election by fraud. Witnesses said plainclothes forces charged at them with batons and tear gas, some of them chanting, "Death to those who are against the supreme leader." State television also reported that police used tear gas to disperse the demonstrators.

Sarah and others I have spoken to in Iran: I hope you are well and safe. I hope that the sacrifices of you and your fellow Iranians leads to that which you are willing to fight for, and I take for granted: a vote that counts. Be well.

*Shia muslims honor the dead 7 and 40 days after death. During the 1979 revolution in Iran, protests and rebellions washed over the country in 40 day cycles for almost a year, the violence on each 40th day leading to deaths that caused another wave of violence 40 days later. The weird thing about today's events in Iran is that Khomeini and Ahmadinejad know this, because they benefited from it 30 years ago. You'd think they would have seen today coming.

Murderers! We're All Murderers!

infertile, murder, tiller, abortion, sex, egg, sperm, pregnant, prochoice, prolife,
(Except you infertile people. You're free to go.)

In the wake of the murder of Dr. Tiller, and subsequent closing of his clinic, I thought I would mention something about the "life begins at conception" meme. (I believe it was PZ Myers who said this first. I'm just riffing off of it, because it really can't be said enough.)

"Life begins at conception" is an incorrect statement because of the word begins. The use of the word begin implies that prior to this beginning, whatever it was that began wasn't there before the beginning. To put it simply, if I told you that the episode of House we are watching began at 8:00 pm (EST), you would correctly assume that prior to 8:00, this episode was not airing.

Saying that life begins at conception implies that there was no life prior to conception. So what are sperm and eggs, dead? Eggs do just float around, but have you ever seen a sperm? Busy little suckers, aren't they? Don't exactly look unalive to me.

A more correct statement would be that life continues at conception, if you happen to equate the potential for things with the things themselves. (Which is like regarding a canvas and some paint as great art, but whatever.)

If you're being intellectually honest, and you actually do believe that life continues at conception, why aren't you up in arms about the billions and billions and billions of "lives" being lost every day? Every month during a woman's cycle, an egg is released from one or the other of her ovaries. If she doesn't get pregnant, that egg dies. Why aren't the "life continues at conception" people crying "murder!" over that. I would be a murderer about 120 times over.

You know why they don't say that? Because if they did, they would have to insist that every girl have sex with the intention of getting pregnant from the moment she got her first period (though at that point, she would already be a murderer). Which would mean insisting that 9 year old girls have sex.

What about men? They're even more prolific murderers. Each ejaculation contains millions of sperm, millions of little lives. If those sperm don't combine with an egg, they die. Well, you might say, that's why I'm against masturbation. Sorry, no. Even if a man impregnates a woman, only one of those sperm continues on. The other million or so die.

That's right, even a successful pregnancy results in death. Lots of death.

Clearly, the only way to prevent such wanton slaughter is get one man to ejaculate two or three times, castrate that man, and all other men on the planet, then use the sperm, one by one, to impregnate every woman every time they produce eggs, including 9 year old girls.

Any suggestions as to which man we should use?

I Am Torned

abortion, prochoice, prolife, christian, jesus, religion, tiller, murder,
I'm sure you've all heard about the murder of Dr. Tiller by now. I thought I'd check on our friends at Rapture Ready and see what the response has been on the other side of crazy.

April goes straight for god's ineffibility: I am torned. Now his family have Opportunity to learn from this tragedy. I hope they pray, and understand that ALL LIFE is Precious and a Gift from God.Through darkness there is light....

I hope someone removes all the sharp objects from the room before you express that sentiment to Dr. Tiller's family, April.

Musclecar1975 ratchets up the crazy with this bizarre comment: While on one hand, [Dr. Tiller's church] appear to believe in the sanctity of life, on the other hand, they condone abortion if the baby will have abnormalities, or if a woman is raped, which research has shown, it is very rare for a woman to get pregnant as a result of rape.

yes, Musclecar1975, women only get pregnant because they want to. Seriously, wtf?!

Seemomgonuts has a very odd view of those of on the prochoice side of the debate: This man was a king to the pro-abortion crowd. Funny how they won't see that the shooter excercised their right to choose. They chose to kill someone, yet to the pro-abortionist, no irony will be found. did i miss the memo where some doctor i'd never even heard of became my king? was that in the copy of the liberal agenda I didn't get yet?

It doesn't take the RR crew long to get to the wingnuts' latest meme: Obama did it so he has an excuse to put all the christians (75% of the US) in prison.

homesick9748: When I heard about this, I had to ask myself: "Just WHO will benefit from this murder?" We all know the answer: Certainly NOT us pro-life, pro-gun, conservative Christians. well, then, of course the murderer was prochoice then. i hope the police are reading this so they don't bother looking for someone opposed to abortion.

antitox may or may not be expressing the same sentiment: Super. This incident may backfire and somehow confirm to EvilBama and fellow henchman Napolitano to really view us as terrorists.

Rhon is, as far as I can tell, arguing that all medical procedures are pointless. we should just sit around waiting for god to intervene: What if the doctor is wrong in saying the mother's life is at risk? Granted, he is a Doctor, but that does not make him God. Only God would know for certain if that woman's life were at risk. If the doctor turned out to be wrong, and a baby is murdered over that....Ooops????

I'm sorry, but it makes no difference how much the mothers life is at risk, makes no difference if she has 2 children or 10. It is still murder regardless. Who is to say that God doesn't have plans for that child? Who is to say God won't intervene and and save the woman? It makes no difference...it's murder....pure and simple and it is a sin.

yeah. excuse me while i stick with antibiotics over prayer.

Trance trots out the persecuted christian meme:

yes, yes, yes. christians aren't allowed to marry. christians can't get elected president. christian fear carrying around their holy book and wearing symbols of their belief. it's a sad, sad world we live in, trance.

Pendragon snaps irony's neck and then stabs the corpse a few hundred times, then sets it on fire for good measure: I find it very Ironic and almost divine in action please, continue....I know some may not agree so let me put into words my thoughts yes, that is how message boards work.... Tiller was an usher at the church meaning he had heard the word at lest 50 times 50? how did we arrive at 50? why not "at least once" or "hundreds of times"? 50?...while the shooter did commit murder in sense we know it now no, he did not commit murder "in sense", he committed murder in fact....In biblical times if you had an assasian an "assasian"? what's that? running around and were able to identify him he too was considered a murderer because assassins (and possibly assasians) murdered people.... In the terms of Tiller and late term abortion. verb? It is considerd murder in the eyes of G-d and the person who killed Tiller carried out judgement right in what our eyes believe it to be or wrong i think my brain just died.... G-d chooses who lives and who dies.. so, it's never murder? just blame god and do whateverthefuck you want? If this person later comes out and says they were the killer and they have repented to G-d for grace as was with David and Uriah so should it be for them. wtf? they will have to pay the consequence but in G-d's choice he has made divine judgement and in that I will abide i think he keeps trying to say that Tiller's murder was exactly what god wanted and therefore is good. so, do you feel the same way when children are murdered? what about abortion? isn't that god's will? be careful with the logic that is pointy on both ends, my dear... I pray Grace for the person who killed him and mercy on the soul of the one who died But i I exahlt G-d in his divine wisdom as to the action happening.... The power is his for that purpose we don't know all his ways but for this to happen in a church where he had given fair warning to Tiller through his word I find to be surreal in and of itself... you find it "surreal"? really? I pray for all involved that grace and mercy will abound... as for us as christians another weight has been added to our cross may we seek G-d's face in this and remain faithful and follow his word and direction in all things we must do future wise wow. i didn't think it could get any stupider, but "future wise" allowed pendragon to achieve the impossible.

antitox reappears with deep concerns about the dictionary: This all ties in to re-defining. They re-defined that a baby in the whom BWAHAHAHAHAHA wasn't life, they re-defined civil rights where you can't say what you believe i know, doesn't it suck that we can't say n***er and f** anymore?, they are working to re-define marriage, and they re-defined the constitutionalists (the right) as extremists/terrorists. You can bet they will be re-defining a whole lot more very soon. we'll redefine spoons as forks! shoes as hats! dogs will become hamsters! bacon will be pudding! when will the madness end?!

hilhill takes the justification tack: Now, I hope people don't take this the wrong way (and thanks for pointing out that it was a liberal church... Man it just infuriates me when people shame the name of Christ like that)...... And maybe I'm just playing devil's advocate here i doubt you even know what that means...I watched the movie Valkyrie. I liked that movie. well, now we know who those people are. The whole premise of the movie was an assassination attempt against Hitler, a monster that killed millions of innocent people. because there might be some people who don't know who hitler was. There are other murderers/evil leaders throughout history that have been killed or have been sought to be killed hitler sought to be killed? because of their treacherous acts on humanity.

How is the killing of this abortion doctor any different? oh, my. Now, again, I'm NOT saying that we should go out and kill abortion doctors but it's just like killing hitler or that his murder was good or anything like that killing hitler would not have been good? so please don't misunderstand me. no, i'm pretty sure i am understanding you. But if you have the possibility of preventing thousands of innocent lives from being slaughtered... Is it not justified??

Maybe I'm just thinking out loud here or in print ... or talking out of my head is there some other way to talk?... I dont know!! clearly

we'll end with 4given, who seems a little confused as to NOW's purpose: The murder of the doctor will only make matters worse, especially after Napolitano already decreed pro lifers akin to domestic terrorists. Especially after the domestic terrorists at NOW have begun there diatribe.

Only in America can you go to jail for killing a dog, yet killing an unborn child is justified?

There is no justification for Murder in either case, the Lord God said vengence is mine.

i can't imagine why anyone would think there are crazies in this world. i just don't get it.

Morals, Values and Children

bible, polygamy, rape, murder, incest, genocide, infanticide, abortion, witchcraft, blasphemy, christian, god,
I hear this a lot: I can't even turn on the television anymore, because even commercials are filled with sex and violence and blasphemy. It's disgusting!

What about the book that these people have no trouble reading, and encourage their children to read: the Bible?

The Bible contains far more offensive material than ever is shown on television, far more violence, far more depravity, even blasphemy and witchcraft. Shocking!

Witchcraft: Pharoah's magicians reproduced several of the plagues, and matched Moses for turning sticks into snakes.

Blasphemy: While Moses was off getting the ten commandments, the Israelites reverted to idol worship.

Incest: After the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot's daughters get him drunk, have sex with him and get pregnant.

Genocide: Where to start? The Great Flood, the conquest of Canaan, the almost complete extermination of the tribe of Benjamin by the other 11 tribes . . .

Infanticide/Abortion: God punishes the Israelites for not killing all the women and children of the Midianites, Jephthah killed his young daughter (his only child) by burning her alive as a burnt sacrifice to the lord, the tenth plague was the death of every first-born Egyptian, from newborns to adults.

Rape: The virgins of Jabesh-gilead and the Midianites, to name a few, were captured by the Israelites and held as sex slaves. Also, if a man rapes a woman, he is either to marry her or pay her father for her virginity.

Polygamy: Solomon had 700 wives, Abraham had concubines, Gideon had many wives, etc.

Murder: Well, there's Cain and Abel, and this continues straight through to Peter killing Ananias and Sapphira, for not paying their taxes to the Lord.

I don't know about you, but I'd sooner let a child rent every R rated movie available than expose them to all that!

Note: someone is likely to inform me that the bible doesn't condone these behaviors, it merely describes what happened. The very same could be said of any movie, book or TV show.

The End Result of Dogma

abortion, prochoice, prolife, rape, murder, catholic, christian, christianity, religion, religious, bible, god, jesus,
is that you find yourself arguing that a raped 9 year old must die in the attempt to carry twins to term.

A 9-year-old girl who was carrying twins, allegedly after being raped by her stepfather, underwent an abortion Wednesday despite complaints from Brazil's Roman Catholic church.

. . .

Fatima Maia, director of the public university hospital where the abortion was performed, said the 15-week-old pregnancy posed a serious risk to the 80-pound girl.
"She is very small. Her uterus doesn't have the ability to hold one, let alone two children," Maia told the Jornal do Brasil newspaper.

But Marcio Miranda, a lawyer for the Archdiocese of Olinda and Recife in northeastern Brazil, said the girl should have carried the twins to term and had a cesarean section.

"It's the law of God: Do not kill. We consider this murder," Miranda said in comments reported by O Globo.

Forcing the 9 year old- let me repeat that- 9 year old to die in the attempt to carry the fetuses to term is not murder? How is that not murder? How is that NOT the most morally repugnant thing anyone has ever said? How could anyone say that and NOT be ashamed of themselves?

Honestly, what the fuck is wrong with some people?

Assisted Suicide and a Very Honest Moment

assisted, suicide, ethics, morality, immoral, murder, euthanasia, euthenasia

You've been getting a lot of honest moment's out of me recently, and here's another one. In fact, the honesty here might be a little bit much, just so's you know.

cschande has an article up about proposed assisted suicide in Hawaii. (Naturally, it's Teh Evul.) I will say this: the vast majority of people whom you think would want to commit suicide (terminal cancer patients, for example) don't want to. I will also say this: assisted suicide happens in the US every day. It's illegal, so the doctors involved are risking their licenses and livelihoods, but it still happens. Why?

Let me give you an example. I knew a man whose wife collapsed one day unexpectedly. She hadn't said a word about feeling sicker and sicker and sicker for an entire year. She was too busy, she was scared of doctors, and she was probably afraid of having confirmed what she already suspected: she had cancer. Liver cancer, to be exact, that had metastesized all over her body, including to her brain.

Within 3 weeks, this previously kind, funny young woman became a raging maniac as the cancer ate away her brain. Her husband sent her to hospice, but she was sent back home because she kept assaulting the aides with whatever objects were handy. Once she was home, their daughter had to be sent to live with relatives, because mommy tried to kill her. Then came the pain. The cancer got into the nociception centers of her brain, causing unimaginable pain throughout her entire body. Painkillers can't work once that's happened. There is nothing to do about the pain at that point except feel every bit of it, with no relief, not even for a moment.

She screamed in agony no narcotic could touch for 36 hours straight before her husband called her doctor and begged him to do something, anything. Her doctor brought over an extra vial of morphine. The husband was enraged: morphine didn't work at all, what was this idiot doctor thinking?

"Too much morphine and she won't be able to breathe," the doctor said. "It would be an accident, anyone could understand how easy it would be to give too much morphine to a woman screaming in agony for days."

"There's no other way, is there?" the husband asked.

"She's dying," said the doctor. "You know that. It could be an hour from now or weeks from now, but that pain's not going away. She's not getting better. I'm sorry, but there's nothing more to be done."

I think you can guess what happened next. What would you do? (If it takes you less than 30 seconds to come up with the answer, you didn't think hard enough.)

There Just Isn't Quite Enough Suffering in the World

So, I have a hate troll that just can't let go. I wanted a troll, but more of a "jesus loves you even if you don't believe in him" troll, not a troll that advocates murder.

God clearly says that homosexuality is a civil crime punishable by death. (While we currently do not live in a society that has a Godly enough view of Justice to carry this out, it is still important to inform people of the severity of this crime.)

Yes, murder. He can dress it up as "the bible told me so", but it's still murder.

Let's stop and think about this for a moment. Gays are human beings. They feel and think and dream just like you and me. Kill a gay, and he ceases to be. Gays are also daughters and sons, mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, best friends and lovers. Kill a gay, and you hurt every single person who loves them, as well. And not just their families. There is a barrista at my local Starbucks who is just the nicest person every. She always has a smile and a compliment for every customer. Every time I interact with her, even for the few moments necessary to order a latte, I leave smiling. She makes the world a better place. Kill her (I have no idea whether or not she is gay) and you affect every person who will no longer leave the Starbucks with a smile.

This is beyond heinous.

The world does not need more suffering. We need more love, not less. We need more smiles and more compliments and more kindness.

Besides, how would we even enforce this? Random thoughts, blog comments, looks in the wrong direction? Would we set up cameras in every person's bedroom, take testimony from hateful neighbors, believe the word of homophobes with agendas? Welcome to the godly world: now with 20% more fear!

Where does gayhatingtroll get his murderous position from?

Lev 20:13 'If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

Let us examine something else that god considers worthy of death: adultery.

Lev 20:10 If a man commits adultery with another man's wife—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.

Well, okay, keep your dick out of other people's wives. Simple enough, right?

Not so much. Jesus completely redefines adultery thusly: Matt 5:28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

So, one random thought, just one "hey, nice ass" moment, and YOU MUST DIE!

So, shotgunwildatheart, I have to ask, have you never, ever, ever committed thought adultery? Really? (I'm just assuming you still have functioning testicles, perhaps I am wrong.)

So, let me predict homophobictroller's response to the above question: Jesus forgives. Having been saved, I have eternal forgiveness, so it isn't necessary to put me to death. Uh-huh.

MAYBE THAT WAS THE POINT OF JESUS' STATEMENT IN THE FIRST PLACE, ASSHAT! That we all need forgiveness. That we are all sinners. No one is better than anyone else, so stop with the hating and get with the loving.

Let's examine Jesus' message a little further.

John 8:3-8

3The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group
4and said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery.*
5In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?"
6They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.

7When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."
8Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.**

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. So, hey, you want to kill homosexuals? Go find the amazing sinless person to start the killing. I'll give you a hint: she's riding a unicorn.

I have an even better idea than the unicorn hunt. Take all that gayhating energy and turn it to something else. Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, comfort the dying. Help out at an animal shelter, teach people how to read, clean up a little piece of highway.

Make the world a better place.

* I always wanted to know this woman's story. I find it hard to believe that 2000 years ago, some woman living in Jerusalem or the surrounding area was like "Look at Joe down the street! He is so hot- all muscley and strong, and those blue eyes and that sc-- (sorry, now you're in my fantasy)" Seriously, no. I think it far more likely that she was raped. So, here she is, freshly raped and about to be stoned to death for it. Imagine her fear and humiliation and shame. She may not have been all that happy to be spared. Poor woman. This is currently happening to women all over the world, by the way. It's called honor killing and it's detestable.

**What was he writing? That really bothered me. It's mentioned- the writing- twice, but we never know what was so important that he couldn't be bothered to really deal with the Pharisees. Why did Jesus never write anything himself? Clearly, he could and did write. I'm probably overthinking this.

And, just for the record: I feel the same way about Jesus as I do about Ghandi or MLK: great message. I may not agree with everything they have to say, and I certainly don't believe Jesus is the messiah, or a god, or even the son of god, but I like a lot of his message.

I Am a Mass Murderer

Well, I must be, I'm an atheist!

No, really, "Vox Day" proved it.
