An Interesting Interpretation

I hated my senior year English teacher. She was a cruel person who thought nothing of mocking students for being overweight or having severe acne or being poor. So, I spent the entire year mocking her by interpreting everything we read as relating to death. The Great Gatsby? The death of a dream. Brave New World? The death of individuality and morality. Everything was death.

One day, she decided to stump me by assigning a poem about a cat. The entire poem was simply a description of the author's cat, nothing more. (I don't remember the name anymore.) "So, Faith, how is this related to death?" she taunted me.

"I'm sure that cat's dead by now, and all the author has left is her memories and this poem," I replied. Everyone laughed, I got sent to talk to a rather befuddled principal ("I have to talk to you because she didn't like your interpretation of a poem?") and both of us learned an important lesson. She learned not to challenge me and I learned that while it is possible to interpret everything through a very specific lens, it takes a lot of effort.

Abigail Ruth of Culture News is expending just such an effort every day for far less amusing reasons.

Enabling Men to Push The Pill on Girls

It's ironic that feminists want to make it easier for men wanting sex to force medications on young girls by making birth control pills and abortifacients* available without a prescription.

Wow, that's quite the scandal there, isn't it? Feminists want to make it easy for men to force medication on young girls. I'm shocked! and appalled! and dismayed! Feminists are actively trying to mandate that grown men shove dangerous drugs down the throats of 8 year olds!

Or, you know, not.

What's actually happening is that a D.C. council member tried to introduce legislation that would allow women to buy birth control pills from the pharmacist without a prescription. This would remove on barrier that women encounter when attempting to control their fertility, having to take time off from work to see a doctor, and having to pay for that visit.

That's odd. I don't see anything in there about men, young girls, or forcing. Nor does Abigail Ruth make the slightest attempt to prove her initial, peculiar assertion, other than to intimate that perhaps men could purchase birth control pills. There's also nothing about "young girls", which I would like an explanation of in that young girls don't menstruate and therefore do not need birth control to prevent pregnancy. I am left questioning Abigail's understanding of biology and wondering what definitions of "young" and "girls" we're using here.

Oh, wait, the producers of Plan B (the "morning after pill") are attempting to have age restrictions removed from their product. That didn't help me understand her initial assertion either.

Now, Abigail, if you're going to relate everything to child molestation, you should put at least as much effort into it as I did in pissing off my English teacher. It's like you're not even trying!

People Who Live in Alternate Dimensions

My name is Personal Failure, and I am a huge Trekkie. Have been since I was 5. (When I was 5, my goal in life was to be black, just like Uhura. That was probably the most awkward conversation my mother ever had to have. "But why can't I be black? You said I could be anything I wanted to be!") Just for the record, original 1960s Trek is the best. You can make fun of Shatner's acting all you want, but at least Kirk got action sequences. Patrick Stewart is a fantastic actor, but TGN was a whole lotta boring.

I bring this up because there were several Star Trek episodes involving alternate dimensions- universes like our own, but unlike in some essential way: Nazis winning WWII, everybody being violent, etc. It's a popular scifi theme, but I'm beginning to think that this not only is reality, but that we regularly interact with people from other dimensions, as evidenced by Jim Fletcher of RaptureReady.

Jim Fletcher writes a regular article for RaptureReady called Israel Watch. This is described as "God's Prophetic Clock." Reading this article, I can only surmise that Mr. Fletcher lives in an alternate dimension from our own.
God is real, He cares for us as individuals, and nothing can shake Him. We wonder, from our feeble perspectives, how God can allow such pain. We are focusing on the wrong thing, and our wrong focus comes straight from the pit. of hell!

You might never get to the Holy Land. Mecca? But I’ve been there and I’ll tell you that the truth of God’s word is everywhere. There is a garden tomb that is empty there are an awful lot of empty tombs all over the world, and it is just outside the Old City walls. still not proof to me. There is a barren hill with a rock face in the shape of a skull nearby. There's a rock face on a hill between Scranton, PA and Dover, NJ that looks just like a Native American man wearing a feathered headdress. It's really cool, and proves nothing. I’ve read about this in the Gospels. I've read lots of things in the gospels, so what?

Israeli soldiers patrol the land in Israel, it's amazing! I'd be more impressed if Israeli soldiers were patrolling the land in, say, California, just as Ezekiel’s book promised.

Ezekiel 6:5 And I will lay the dead carcases of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars Isn't god so sweet! (That's probably not the verse Mr. Fletcher is referencing, but I got bored looking for it.)

Jews are everywhere, millions of them! In Israel! It's a freakin' miracle! Just as Isaiah said it would be.

Isaiah 1:8 And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city. Cucumbers!

New Jewish homes dot the hillsides, In Israel! Wow! And wouldn't those be the homes of Jews, not Jewish homes? I wouldn't refer to houses in Vatican City as Catholic houses. many thousands of them, just as Amos and Jeremiah said they would in the last days.

Amos 5:2 The virgin of Israel is fallen; she shall no more rise: she is forsaken upon her land; there is none to raise her up. That's probably not the verse Mr. Fletcher is thinking of. He should probably be more specific.

Jeremiah 3:9 And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks. Land defiler and stone adulterer.

You can’t turn a corner in any city without seeing a sign proclaiming the soon coming of the Messiah really?, or have a chance conversation with a cab driver yeah cabbies in the US are pretty crazy, too, solder how does one have a conversation with solder?, politician you can't have a conversation with a republican politican in the US in which the bible isn't mentioned, businessman, or single mother married mothers don't have conversations in which something biblical is mentioned? in which something biblical is not mentioned.

United Nations vehicles and diplomats and worldwide media choke the streets of Jerusalem more so New York City, where the UN is based, and Zechariah said very long ago that the Holy City would be an obsession for the world in the last days.

Zechariah 4:7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it. I just enjoyed the name Zerubbabel.

Drive around and look at the lush foliage and flowers and fruits and vegetables in the land. In the desert? Israel is still in the desert, right? Sand, no rain, desert? This is what the prophets said the barren land would return to in the last days.

What do you make of all this, if it is not the work of an all-powerful, loving God? I call Israeli soldiers in Israel protecting Israelis the work of the Jewish Agency, who refounded Israel in 1948. Hey, whatever.

Can you fathom the fact that if God took care of an entire people for 2,000 years — because He promised He would — that He will fulfill His promises to you? The Jews call 2008 the year 5769. So if god has been taking care of the Jews since the beginning, he's been taking care of them for 5769 years. If he only took care of the Jews for 2000 years, then he wasn't taking care of them for 3769 years, which would go a long way toward explaining the holocaust. Jesus said in the book of Matthew that if you are tired, come to Him.

2Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;
3And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;
4And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon;
5And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;
6And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;
7And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa;
8And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias;
9And Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz begat Ezekias;
10And Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and Amon begat Josias;
11And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:
12And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel;
13And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;
14And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;
15And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;

I like the begats.

Friends, this is not some esoteric, pie-in-the-sky… why the ellipses? Oh, and pie in the sky is not hyphenated. thing. It is practical and real for you today. If God did all those things with regard to Israel, unnecessary and confusing comma that I mentioned above, are you worried that He forgot what He said He’d do for you if you are beaten down and exhausted? uh-huh. sure. Hey God! If you want to do something for me, if you want me to be less beaten down and exhausted, how about curing the porphyria? That would be a great big help! Yeah, whatever, that's what I thought.

If you think God has forgotten you, you are quite mistaken. The other explanation, besides atheism, is that god is cruel fucking prick.

I know you have chronic pain. I know you can’t pay your bills. I know your husband is leaving you. But please, get this: Israel is alive. Oh, well, the Jews are all right, that solves everything! She shouldn’t be, humanly speaking. what the hell does "humanly speaking" even mean? Is he referencing "humanly possible"? Two thousand years as a desert backwater should have been her permanent fate. and you know this how? But God said no, in His own time He would return the child He loves to the place He loves.

Israel is back. The boys are back in town . . .

Your world might be cloudy and dark. It was a dark and stormy night. Frankly, I’ve been through times when everything seemed dark, and you feel so cold and alone. you or me? don't switch between first and second person, it's bad form. But predictive prophecy isn't all prophecy predictive? is there nonpredictive prophecy?, and Israel in particular, clears everything up. Show your work.
Do yourself a favor. Take your Bible and read Isaiah. Read Amos 9:15.

Amos 9:15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God. Did that make you feel better? Didn't do a damn thing for my nerve damage. (You know, weather changes make me ubercranky, don't they?)

Read Ezekiel 37. Then think carefully about where Israel is today. She is back, back where she belongs. All because of a totally dude! strong Father who is our ultimate protection. I'll take the bulletproof vest, thank you very much.

I wish I could help all of you can't, but in reality I have all the strength of a lima bean BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA. A lima bean?! I just spewed coffee all over my keyboard. I have the strength of a radish. He has the strength of a mango.. God, though, is a force that no one can reckon with. Apparently, people in alternate dimensions write entirely in cliches. It's quite unfortunate.

Remember this and I have a feeling that the skies will clear for you I will make my fortune as the antiRainmaker, getting farmers to pay me to stay away from them. and you will be able to see — really see — that if you are God’s child aren't we all god's children?, only glory awaits you glory, glory hallelujah!. We are all going forward together that being the nature of time, yes, so let us strengthen each other in the night. before or after we clear the skies?

Our God is very, very great.
My prayer for you this holiday season is that peace will come to your mind and heart.

God knows your name. He knows where you are. He'll be watching you, every move you make, every breath you take He loves you infinitely. He will sustain you.
Israel is proof of that.
or not.

Winds of Times-Altering Change - Part 1

Here it is, from Rapture Ready, the winds of times-altering change! (That's the problem with trying to sound poetic when you have no talent for poetry. I know my prose varies between clunky and prosaic, therefore I don't try to sound poetic, or even somewhat talented. My talent is knowing my limits. Terry James, on the other hand, writes like a love-sick emo kid on downers.)

World in Crisis: Hour of Temptation
By Terry James

Planet Earth as opposed to Earths that are not planets, or planets that are not Earth? is on the brink of disaster. The very brink! We're right on the edge! of disaster! It's made of people! And, the impending crisis is as individual as it is collective. huh? Winds of the times-altering sort *giggles* pervade and saturate life in our communities–where we live most intimately. I live most intimately in my bathroom, not my community, but I guess he's a little more comfortable with bodily functions than I am. It is not just within the nation and the larger society and culture, but within our very living rooms that we are experiencing the transformation. Goddamnit, Larry, the couch is transforming again! Instant communication Teh Internet, it's Teh Evil! brings wave after wave of the portentous change invading our places of personal sanctuary. Ever read a Harlequin romance? Then you have a much more amusing view of the phrase "wave after wave" than most. We cannot escape it. Mr. James' interwebs doesn't come with an off button?

It is much more than merely the historic firsts that have thrust the enigmatic Barack Hussein Obama to the U.S. presidency that ring alarm bells. And the award for most awkward sentence structure ever goes to . . . Numerous developments pique the spiritual sensitivity meters of those who observe the dynamics of the times for possible prophetic application. *snort* How does one calibrate a "spiritual sensitivity meter"? Can I buy one at Home Depot? Does it come with a warranty? Building events alert the spiritually attuned to the key of D or Cm? to the likelihood that America and the world have dramatically transitioned unnecessary use of really big words into an era that has brought this generation to the precipice of something profoundly ominous. Adverbs are like jewelry. A few are decorative, too many are distracting.

Moral Morass Admittedly, I do enjoy alliteration.

Loss of comprehension about what is the pillar passive voice is such a bore to which America’s national conscience was once secured slavery or sexism? constitutes the core of the causes of the sea-changes that have swamped the nation, I'm all for a good metaphor, but this is getting to be a bit much. and as a result have caused the planet to quake. How did I miss the planetquake? I'm usually such a light sleeper. The following Scripture has never been more apropos than for America today in describing the moral morass in which we are mired please, I give up, stop with the alliterative allegory: “Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? You know what is considered an abomination in the bible? Eating shrimp. It's a little hard to get worked up about "abominations" after you find that out. nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush…” (Jeremiah 8:12a).

One whose worldview is truly biblical meaning Terry James' exact interpretation of the bible, which has little to do with the words on the page cannot in good conscience do other than acknowledge that the nucleus of the crisis–the many crises—America and Planet Earth face is spiritual. global warming is spiritual? Ethical crises, moral crises, legal crises, environmental crises, certainly but everyone reading the same religious book in exactly the same way isn't going to solve any of those problems The end of all rebellion against God just before death is depravity that flows from minds that have become reprobate. What the hell is he talking about? At a guess, he's talking about people that don't believe in god until just before they die. Why is talking about that? How is that connected? Besides, if you truely, sincerely discover god 2 seconds before you shuffle off this mortal coil, who is James to judge? How is discovering god depravity? If he is talking about people that insincerely protest that they have found god right before death, well, that's insincere and not the same at all. I'm just not seeing the connection.

The obvious similarity of proliferating signs in this generation to the “perilous times” conditions the Apostle Paul foretold can’t be shunted aside as mere coincidence. Yeah. Actually read Revelation. Then tell me all about how none of this can be coincidence. The way James and his brethren read the bible, you may as well cut out each verse in the new testament, stick them in a hat, and put the new testament back together in the random order you withdraw the verses from the hat in. It makes that much sense. The characteristics of end times man of which Paul vividly forewarned fit perfectly in defining the generation alive today both in American and world societies and cultures. They have also, according to rapture nuts, fit perfectly with every single generation since Paul wrote the thing. If you would like to see a full list of end of days predictions that weren't, starting at 44 CE, click here.

Perilous Times Manifested

The “perilous times” characteristics Paul foretold for the generation that will be alive when Christ returns are manifesting themselves in every aspect of life in America and the world today. Every aspect. Every one. My computer, the interwebs, the can of 7up on my desk, my purse, my shoes, my pushup bra, the dictaphone, every aspect. Uh-huh. Let us examine that declaration to some extent. (Read 2 Timothy 3:1-7 to get the overview.)

Mr. James didn't give us the verses, so here you go:

1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. What, no mention of 7up?
2For men shall be lovers of their own selves floggin the dolphin!, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, when have there not been people like this?
3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent adult diapers!, fierce, despisers of those that are good, still not seperating our times from any other time
4Traitors, heady, highminded, like Terry James lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
like Terry James! It's creepy how accurate Paul was!
6For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ummmm . . . what?
7Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. like Terry James!

Men (and Women) Lovers of Selves I first read this as Lovers of Shelves, which was amusing in an entirely different way. (Enter ye not the Ikea of Evil!)

Humans have, since the disobedience in the Garden of Eden, been in love with themselves. They fell victim to the serpent’s deadly narcissistic venom. The serpent's (actually, it had legs at the time, which would make it ... a lizard) deadly venom of knowing things. Reread Genesis, boys and girls, though you will have to get a version of the Torah, not the bible. In a nutshell, god put two trees in the garden of eden, the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil and the Tree of Life. Adam (a generic Hebrew word meaning "mankind" which implies there were way more than two people in the garden) and Eve ate of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil first. God learns of this and then kicks them out of the garden out of fear that they will eat of the Tree of Life, which will make them, and I quote, "one of us". Who's monotheistic?

When Satan told Adam and Eve they would be as God, the idea was so appealing that fallen man has since that time marched in line behind Lucifer in saying “I will”… didn't god killing himself end all that? i thought that was the point of the whole nonsacrifice. As the jabberwock pointed out, why would god have to sacrifice god to god in order to change a rule that god made? does this make sense to anyone?

Fallen man wants no one to rule over him –i.e., wants nobody getting in the way of his pursuit of doing what is right in his own eyes. Oppressive regimes are for the most part the result of it becoming necessary to bring under subjugation man’s natural tendency to gravitate toward chaos and anarchy. Is this guy saying the oppressive regimes are good? Hitler was right, he just didn't go to church enough? What? Only when he willingly submits to his Creator and the order God establishes does man thrive under truly moral governance. The founding fathers of the United States were wise enough to realize this governing principle. Can we stop with this shit? (1) the US is not god's chosen land. (2) the US is not a christian nation. In fact, the founding fathers must have realized exactly the opposite of what Terry James just said, as evidenced by the Establishment Clause, forever separating church and state. And, the founding fathers denied women the right to vote and made black people worth 3/5ths of white people. Yeah, really listening to the words of Jesus, assholes.

Today entertainment and marketing/advertising tell us to love ourselves above God or anyone else. Buy Kleenex, because THERE IS NO GOD! I haven't heard that commercial yet. Although I'd buy a lot more Kleenex if I did. The results of love of self are divorce, children with broken homes, ummm . . . wouldn't that fall under the heading of divorce? devilish levels of crime as opposed to godly levels of crime?, and even murder. what, murder? no! not murder! That's nowhere in the bible. *snickers*

Generation of Proud Boasters could Terry "Asshat" James please give me a bible verse for this one?
We have to go no further in searching for this end-times characteristic given by Paul than to consider the most recent election season. Pride –that sin to which Lucifer fell, and which God says goes before a fall—permeated the political process and the participating protagonists. “Me, myself, and I” were front and center for the microphones and cameras to capture, project, and broadcast so the audiences at the political rallies and across the nation and world could see and hear the proud boasters. How would this separate the most recent election from any other election? Does anyone recall any election in which a candidate did no interviews, gave no speeches, conducted no fundraising and produced no advertisements? How would anyone get elected that way?

I get it. It's OK when white people advertise themselves, but when a MUSLIM!TERRORIST!HE'sBLACK! man does it, it's boasting.

The people of 21st century America readily fell for propaganda not unlike the half-truths and outright fabrications put out by Joseph Goebbles’ propaganda machine for Adolf Hitler in the first half of the 20th century. Pallin' around with terrorists. That’s because much of the populous population? of this most blessed nation in history more blessed than the Israelites? weren't they god's chosen people? did god change the chosen people? why didn't I get the memo? also manifests the characteristics of being proud and boasters. How long before this leads to downfall, only God knows.
and possibly the Shadow

In Case You Are Confused, The United States Does Not Have a King

subtitle: Fun with Dog Whistles

For a more comprehensive review of dog whistling politics, please click the link above. In short, dog whistling politics is using words and phrases in speeches or articles that seem innocuous or even stupid, except to the group you are trying to secretly reach. See: every speech ever given by W. (The Slacktivist is make of win!)

For example, we have the following article from American Thinker (as unintentionally hilarious a website title as I've ever seen) which is rife with dog whistling. In the interest of full disclosure, I may not pick up all of the dog whistles here. The Slacktivist is better at it than me, because he grew up in the evangelical community.

A Damned Defeat, James Lewis

Yet I ... can say nothing --- no, not for a King,
Upon whose property and most dear life
A damned defeat was made!

Good job not crediting Shakespeare, moron! Yeesh, credit where credit is due.

So said Hamlet comma the Prince of Denmark comma, in the play of the same name by William Shakespeare, about the murder of the King, his father. Without my commentary, if you weren't familiar with the works of William Shakespeare, you might think this was an historical quote, not a scene in a play.

Well, we've just suffered a damned defeat, not as bad as the loss of a beloved father, but all the same a very bloody punch in the nose. I'm not sure where the comparisons and imagery here are going. Plus, unless your fist is already covered in blood for some reason, the punch itself isn't bloody. American conservatism has taken a trouncing *dances with glee*, and the country has itself a new King Obama as opposed to the old king obama? what? This is a dog whistle, invoking King Herod, the Roman client king of Judea when Jesus was born. According to gospel, he wanted to kill Jesus, and when the Magi wouldn't return to him to report Jesus' location, Herod had every child in and around Bethlehem under the age of 2 murdered. (This of course didn't achieve the desired goal because Jesus and his family fled to Egypt only to return after Herod's death.) Fundamentalists see Herod as the ultimate in evil.

Cardinal Stafford of Baltimore just declared in a published sermon everything on paper is impressive! that "On November 4, 2008, America suffered a cultural earthquake." I like "cultural earthquake" as a metaphor for the death of anti-intellectualism and the overthrow of the Republican party, but "suffered" isn't the right verb. I prefer "celebrated". He called Obama's campaign "aggressive, disruptive and apocalyptic" ummm . . . how? Obama took the high road and only attacked McCain/Palin on voting history and public actions. McCain and Palin dragged us all through the mud with them. Unless the Cardinal thinks that inciting a crowd to threats of murder and calling random black cameramen n***er is not agreesive and disruptive. Whatever you want to call it, that's hardly polite and civilized. and said he campaigned on an "extremist anti-life platform." We prefer to be called "prochoice." This drives me nuts. I could call prolifers "pro forced pregnancy", which is true. I could call them "pro punishing women for having sex". Also true. I could also call them "pro life until it exits the uterus." Again, true. But they want to be called prolife, so I call them prolife. Every group gets to define its own name.

On the matter of abortion the Cardinal is literally correct. By what definition of "literal"?

I don't think the Cardinal meant to dehumanize the President-elect, I'm sure he did. the way that President Bush has been dehumanized so thoroughly by the Left since 2000. Ummm . . . since when is calling someone on their mistakes dehumanizing? If I put the wrong name on a legal document and my boss points it out to me, am I being dehumanized? I think the word this guy is looking for is "villianized". This paragraph makes more sense that way. But telling the truth is the first step to recovery. Did we become addicts?

It is incumbent on us to tell the truth I doubt this guy would know the truth if it climbed up his pants and bit him in the balls, without scapegoating, and without denying the new administration a chance to find the center of American political life. He's assuming that the center of American political life is the anti-intellectual religious zealot brigade. Clearly not, or McCain would have won the election. If they are so inclined. I doubt Obama is inclined to pander to your nonsense, but go ahead and hold your breath.

However, judged by the open record, the coming administration will bring to power the most radical Leftist group of political operators in American history. Radical is a dog whistle. Radicals are dangerous. Radicals bomb buildings and kill children. Obama is not a radical anything. Health care for everyone? Those radical bastards! A 3% hike in the highest tax rate? Marxists! Their unapologetic radicalism on the subject of abortion is only part of their story, but it is surely the single most lethal and irresponsible part. Lethal? Obama is prochoice. He's not pro forced abortion. Yeesh. Their entire campaign was built on lies and image-making, mmm-hmmm. That's right. Tell yourself you lost because we're all deluded fools, not because we don't want your theocratic nonsense anymore. Dead soldiers is not a family value. People dying of preventable diseases, not a family value. People left homeless and starving, not a family value. At least not in my family. shielded by a solid stream of daily cover-ups by the Big Media, Yeah, because nobody reported on Bill Ayers or the Save the Aborted Babies Bill or the terrorists or the muslim or Palin's constant nonsense. and supported by tens of millions of brainwashed followers. That serves two purposes: brainwashing is what cults do, and cults are bad! This also implies that people who voted for Obama were not in their right minds. Had they been in their right minds, they would have voted McCain. It's the circular logo, you know. It's hypnotizing! (Someone actually said this. Yes, they did.)

So the Left got away with it.
We didn't win fair and square, we stole the show! The Democrats won, but democracy lost. The only way democracy loses is if the candidate who did not win the electoral and popular votes becomes President. (See: George W. Bush) WE WON! WE WON THE POPULAR VOTE AND THE ELECTORAL VOTE! GET OVER IT! Whew. I feel much better now.

And yet, all is not lost. No, it isn't, but I wouldn't expect this guy to see that.

American conservatives can celebrate one historic triumph: The performance of the New Media in this election. We can't lose sight of the fact that the New Media managed to expose Obama and his lifelong network. We did the job of real journalism.
Any American who wanted to know the truth was able to find it out with a few clicks on a keyboard. That is real journalism, not the phony imitation from the Old Media and its camp followers.

I found this very confusing. It's really not a good idea to use special terminology and not define it for the reader. I took me about four tries to figure out that the Old Media is CNN or FOX News or NBC. New Media is American Thinker. Now, had the "New Media" actually triumphed, would Obama have been elected? No. Apparently, we're using some other definition of "triumph." I suspect this is just self congratulation. Oh, and lifelong network of what? Supporters? Politicians? He's known these people his whole life? It seems so unlikely. Wait, wait, I got it. He's talking about muslims. MUSLIMS! You know, it's gotten to the point where I feel like apologizing whenever I see a muslim. "I'm an American non-muslim, and we're really big assholes. Sorry about that. I don't hate muslims. Really."

There is no secret any longer about the ideology of these people, or about their close alliances with Islamic radicals, destructive Leftist billionaires and Saudi influence buyers. Show your work. There is no doubt about their deep and entrenched roots in the Chicago Machine. Does it make shoes? Chicago Mayor Daley not that one. is on the transition team, and Chicago hardball pol Rahm Rahmbo! Emanuel is the White House Chief of Staff. This is the dream team of demagogues like J-Wright, Bill Ayers, Louis Farrakhan, and our sworn enemies abroad. who are our sworn enemies abroad? And when did I swear this oath? Is bin Laden really jumping for joy that Mayor Daley and Rahmbo! are in the White House? I doubt it. Unless the "house negro" comment was a compliment. About half the voters know it, and they will not forget it. Less than half, actually. That's how math works.

That simple fact --- that tens of millions of Americans are not deceived --- puts powerful pressure on the Dems to behave themselves, as least in public. Orgies with goats! Any dirty work will have to be done in the dark, where it can be exposed. Huh? Why do it in the dark if it can be exposed in the dark? Shouldn't the dirty work be done where it can't be exposed? Mixed metaphor at best.
Telling the truth is the first step. There's a song in there somewhere.

Between the web and talk radio the New Media did the job. Guess not, cuz Obama got elected, Obama got elected! A decade ago it would have been impossible. this explains much about the election of W. almost a decade ago. No interwebs! After a similar electoral loss, the legacy media would award itself Pulitzer Prizes in these circumstances. Who is the legacy media, what similar electoral loss, and what the hell is he talking about? I can't tell if some of this stuff is dog whistling, bad writing or bad thought processes. We should give the same kind of lasting recognition to brave and talented people like Stanley Kurtz, Andrew McCarthy, Jack Cashill, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Steyn,

We're stopping right here and examining what is a Pulitzer Prize and what qualifies one for a Pulitzer Prize.

From Wikipedia:

The Pulitzer Prize is an American award regarded as the highest national honor in newspaper journalism, literary achievements and musical composition I did not know that. I thought it was limited to journalism. It is administered by Columbia University in New York City.

Awards are made in categories relating to newspaper journalism, arts, and letters. Only published reports and photographs by United States-based newspapers or daily news organizations are eligible for the journalism prize. Beginning in 2007, "an assortment of online elements will be permitted in all journalism categories except for the competition's two photography categories, which will continue to restrict entries to still images.

You can see why none of the people listed in this article would be eligible for a Pulitzer. They are not journalists, and they do not produce published reports or photographs in United States-based newspapers or daily news organizations. They are bloggers, radio hosts and pundits. Rush Limbaugh getting a Pulitzer would be like me getting a Nobel Peace Prize. Hey, I didn't work for peace, but I deserve one, damnit!

and a host of others who exposed the Left's agenda, and kept us laughing in spite of the painful outcome for the country. Since when is comedy a deciding factor for a Pulitzer? Friends in the British and European blogosphere helped. Without the New Media, the truth about the Obamanoids are they like or unlike humanoids? would have been drowned in Lake Michigan --- with concrete boots on, like Jimmy Hoffa.
We did our part. We will keep doing it.
Lincoln went through hellish defeats before saving the Union and freeing the slaves. George Washington had nothing but pain and trouble before beating the professional armies of King George III. Winston Churchill looked like a goner more than once. And our troops in every single war, including Iraq, have suffered much worse, and
still kept their spirits up. Try the link, it doesn't work. Learn the interweb, James Lewis. Why do these people keep comparing themselves to people that would have liked Obama? Especially Lincoln. Palin did everything but call Obama a n***er, and this idiot is comparing himself to Lincoln? Wow.

Churchill showed us how to survive defeat and come back stronger.
"... never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never --- in nothing, great or small, large or petty - never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy."
http://www.winstonchurchill.org/i4a/pages/index.cfm?pageid=423 That's not my sad attempt at linkage, that's his. Sheesh. Quit with the Churchill. When did Churchill become these idiots symbol? I get it! It's the name. Church-ill, get it?

Words to remember. Yes, but stop raping his memory, asshole!

What comes next? Four years of intelligent leadership. We need to repair ourselves and prepare to be counted in the coming battles. Dog whistle. Battles is inappropriate at best. This is politics, asshole, not war. We need to do it intelligently. Call Alanis Morisette, it's irony! Anti-intellectual religious zealots calling for intelligent action. Hee-hee. No banzai charges, but nimble guerilla warfare, like the Minutemen against the Redcoats. Dog whistle, dog whistle, dog whistle. See, these people, apparently never having read the Constitution or studied the lives of the Founding Fathers, think we were established as a Christian nation. So, they invoke the American Revolution at the drop of any hat. Read the Establishment Clause. We are not, nor were we ever, a theocracy. And we need to remind ourselves that the Hard Left will try to lock in its control of this country, you mean like the Republicans did? Throw stones much? just as it has in most of Europe. Evil, dissolute, sinning, satan-worshipping Europeans. That's a dog whistle and a half. Most fundavelagists think of Europe as a den of iniquity from which the Antichrist will spring forth. Yes, they frequently call Obama the antichrist, but Africa and Kansas are like Europe, right?That will be the biggest running battle, stop with the war analogies, please to stop the power grab that is even now taking hold silently behind the scenes. It's not very silent if you know all about it.

And if you need to keep your bearings straight, remember Obama's words on live-birth abortion, properly called infanticide: actually, he wasn't talking about third trimester abortion, which is what he is talking about. There isn't anything actually called live birth abortion. If it's "live birth" it's a delivery, not a damn abortion.
"Look, I got two daughters ... I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby." Yeah, I don't want my nieces to be punished this way either. Keep in mind, these are the people that cheered when an 11 year old rape victim was forced by her parents to carry and deliver her rapist's baby. Their excuse? They wanted to protect the "innocent child". What the 11 year old rape victim wasn't an innocent child? Oh yeah, that's right, she had a penis inserted in her vagina, so she wasn't innocent anymore.
Bear that in mind when Obama's famous charm is on display.
Today only, half off, Obama's charm!
