  1. I just had to stop in and leave a comment that is totally not related to this post ...

But, I love the "About Me" part of your sidebar. It cracks me up. :)

CN: the picture made me vomit in my mouth, but the article did make me feel better.

btw, has anyone else noticed Rush's remarkable resemblance to Rohm?

  4. shall i tell the story???

so, i ran into a "Personal Atheist" at feministe - and she told a story that was almost EXACTLY THE SAME as that told to me by a friend of mine, about a gay closeted man who had had AIDS for years and never told his *wife*. at first i believed Personal was this friend of mine, and i clicked her link, hoping to remind my friend that i was here for her.

but it wasn't my friend. but it WAS the WONDERFUL tirade about athiesm and God claimed X,Y, and Z, but there is no proof, and God is ignoring requests. whereas Personal can PROVE her X, Y and Z. she makes cookies.

so, i was laughing my ass off, and i posted a thing about how similiar to God she was, God wasn't healing me, and Personal wasn't sending me any cookies.

at which point she *OFFERED TO SEND ME, A COMPLETE AND TOTALY STRANGER, WHATEVER KIND OF COOKIES I WANTED THAT SHE COULD MAKE*

which meant i had to concede she was cooler than God.

but... i never got those cookies**. so i started calling her "cookie tease". next thing i know, she's changed her personal info to reflect the Cookie God that she really is.

i mean - how much of a KICK ASS athiest are you, when you are a GOD and are still an athiest? hehe

**to be fair; i told her not to waste the money it would cost to ship them, and to give them to a person who *needed* them. it was XMas time, and i'm sure she found a homeless person or really poor family or something. i really think that, if i insisted (or at least hadn't rejected it) she would have sent me cookies. the whole exchange was a beautiful cross between snark-fest and cookie-teasing.

now i "internet stalk her"*, because we have waaaaaay too much in common, but i can't bake. :D
*which means i am at her board almost everyday. cuz she funny.

Comments are for you guys, not for me. Say what you will. Don't feel compelled to stay on topic, I enjoy it when comments enter Tangentville or veer off into Non Sequitur Town. Just keep it polite, okay?

I am attempting to use blogger's new comment spam feature. If you don't immediately see your comment, it is being held in spam, I will get it out next time I check the filter. Unless you are Dennis Markuze, in which case you're never seeing your comment.
